I do enjoy a good Statistical visualisation from time to time.

Frank PR Website

Really enjoyed seeing a site where all the elements were hand drawn...It's nice when digital doesn't seem so digital.

Nike Better World

This website has used the little art of scrolling down a page as part of an idea. I was suitably impressed by this, I must say!

The Move

Charming and amazing. Full of nice little ways of making the animation and the level of craft involved makes this just lovely.

The Vagina Monologues Poster

Really simple, really clever. I don't think I need to say anymore!

Teague Pulse

This is just a visual treat. The bike has been lit up not just for extra visibility but also for functionality reasons. See the promo video on the Vimeo link above. I want one for christmas!

Playbutton

The Playbutton (featured on It's Nice That recently) is aimed at replacing the single or album. Where you would usually buy a CD and go home to play the music, the badge contains the tracks , which can be listened to immediately. The badge is a battery operated device which plays music stored on it and displays the artwork on the front. I think If this button could link to your itunes library, it has the potential of becoming a badge where the digital display on the badge is always changing which I imagine would make you pretty cool.

Visual Acoustics

This project is great fun, I ended up sounding like a musical genius within a couple of minutes of playing on this. Look up Alex Lampe for more interesting interactive work.

The Wilderness Downtown

Another piece of work by Aaron Koblin, allows the user to enter their own postcode and watch a music video where elements of google street view are combined with videos of a hooded person running... I recommend trying it out if you haven't yet.

Flight Patterns by Aaron Koblin

This work was featured at the Decode Exhibition this year and I remember it really standing out against some of the other more grander installations. The lines represent flights inbound and outbound across North America throughout the duration of a day. I find it really interesting when data can create amazing visuals like this.

Oil & Water Do Not Mix

The artist has used the actual oil from the BP oil spill disaster site to create this. Must be a good thing if you end up taking the oil from the site. By using it to create a simple message the oil has reacted with the paper to reflect the meaning.

The Designs of Lou Dorfsman

I went to see this exhibition a while ago at the Kemistry Gallery with some friends and was amazed by the way type and image had been integrated together on all these pages. It is well worth a see to anyone who considers themselves a 'type enthusiast'!

The Sexy Chair

I cannot remember how long ago I came across this image but every time I see it I think it has a nice idea behind. Even though it looks unpractical to sit on, I think it could be a interesting room filler.

Privately Owned Public Open Spaces (POPOS)

'POPOS' are found in San Francisco and are built by private companies how own buildings around town. By law they have to create a space which is available for public use, but the only problem is they are hard to find and these private companies are reluctant to let the public find them. The best thing about this idea is these public spaces can be inside, outside, open at certain hours and some filled with art works... they can be anything!

The Future of Book

This video shows three new concepts for the future of digital books. Personally I have mixed opinions about digital books because I do not want to see traditional books disappear, but these ideas could see digital books become more popular.

Hofstede Design Mailer

With a quote from Jan Tschichold "Perfect typography is certainly the most elusive of all arts", the studio set upon creating a laser cut mailer to demonstrate their passion and craft.

Kenya by JR/Agence VU Aurora photos

Like millions all over the world I have always been amazed by the photographs captured by the photographers at National Geographic. This link takes you to the official site where you can browse some lovely photos that could even be used for desktop wallpapers!

Thrush by Gabriel Bisset-Smith

A charming short video showing an entire relationship through the use of photographs and narration.

Bike Rack by JJJJound.com

I would like this rack to hang my own bike on. It would turn my bike into a piece of art that I'm sure my housemates would all appreciate.

Mail, Femail by Daniel Eatock

I actually came across this at a friends house going through Daniel Eatock's book but I had to find it on the interweb and add it here. I seem to love projects which display the nuances of the english language, and this idea was simply executed.
